The Effect of Realistic Mathematics Education Implementation in Mathematics Learning in Elementary School

Until now, mathematics is still a difficult subject for students. This one of the implications abstract nature mathematics. For this reason, learning designed in such way by bringing closer to real-life context and student experience. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) an alternative approach that able reduce gap between real life. research was conducted using quasi-experimental method aims test effectiveness RME elementary schools. The study used group pretest-post design. A sample N = 19 selected from class V SD Negeri 2 Labalawa, Baubau City. Data analysis performed descriptive statistics non-parametric inferential statistics. results showed average gain score pretests post-tests reached 44.09 with Standard Error Mean 3,763 4,811, respectively. difference pretest post-test were declared significant at confidence level 95% or ?=0.05. indication indicated Mann-Whitney value 23,000 a2-tailed asymptotic fiancy 0.000 < 0.05. data concluded implementation has effect on outcomes have positive changing teaching style students teacher oriented oriented.
